GIVING BACK!

DESIGN BETTER COMMUNITIES. DESIGN BETTER LIVES

Movement literally IS life.

Nearly every successful person on the planet will often list movement (often mistakenly called exercise) as the most important factor to their success. Yet many people in growing nations (and even first world nations) cannot afford fancy gym memberships, have access to decent equipment or decent knowledge.

Movement also trumps language, race, gender, and borders. We all understand exercise, and we all understand movement. The spoken language is never really needed.

Barbells To Buddhas is going to help!

Partial proceeds from ALL BTB programs; health/fitness consulting, BTB podcast, and thrive Academy, go into helping different communities discover the life changing benefits of movement and healthy nutrition. By working with local health & fitness leaders I will also aim to bring workshops, presentations, group health or fitness programs/events to local communities.

My chief goal however, is to begin to build environments to promote daily movement, and to begin, I have decided to focus on Barefoot Parks using reflexology footpaths, such as those I discovered in many places all throughout my Asia travels.

ALL YOU NEED IS

SPACE, SUN &

INSPIRED PEOPLE

MY INSPIRATION TRIAD

I was inspired by 3 simple things -

1. Living in countries like Taiwan, Indonesia and Thailand, where I did not speak the language, I was still able to easily take classes like Yoga, Muay Thai or Sanda (Chinese kickboxing) as the language of movement trumps vocabulary. Even now, when I visit countries all over Asia, I will attend classes and learn the local martial arts; the spoken language irrelevant.

2. The words of ONE Championship CEO Victor Cui "martial arts resonates with the entire world, and it ignores borders, races, and language, we all understand it".

2. By the outdoor community gym at Lumpini Park in Bangkok, Thailand, where 7 days a week at all times, groups of men and women of all nationalities earn a great sweat, with no ego, or attitude, as well as the many free park fitness classes in Hong Kong, China, and Singapore watching the people laugh and share their experiences.

"By helping yourself thrive, you will help others thrive as well"
