Food for fuel, food for fun, food for life

However, did you notice that I didn't really ask when? I feel that way too much mental energy is spent on this mostly useless question. "When should I eat? Should I eat right after a workout? Should I not eat after 6?" ect. To me, these are the least important questions. These others above are 10X more important. 

When it comes to nutrition, we have a lot of things to think about.

  • What are we eating? 

  • Where did it come from?

  • What's in it?

  • How is it prepared?

  • How will I prepare it?

  • How am I going to eat it?

  • Who will I share it with?

  • What is its function?

  • How will it function in me?

The aspects of nutrition I feel are more important are the topics of

  • Improved gut health

  • The colors of our foods

  • Are they whole or refined?

  • High nutrient low calorie. 

  • Serving sizes and portion control

  • The social aspects of eating

  • The varieties of the foods we eat

  • The way we make foods more exciting while increasing their nutritional value through spices and herbs. 

  • How does this food affect me, my body and mind?

  • What foods strengthen our bodies and what foods increase inflammation and break down our bodies?
